Crushed up in jam is how I took paracetamol when a kid - if we’d run out of Dispirin. Couldn’t and wouldn’t swallow pills until I was prescribed some (quite large) antibiotics in my 20s. To take those, it was put it in my mouth and keep drinking water with my head back until it went down. It took quite a lot of water!
These days I can take them with less water, usually just a sip.
There’s also the pill crusher + jam/jelly/applesauce method.

Bad idea to crush pills. Depends on the pill, but you could end up in the ER.
