Both Boost and Sync tend to get infrequent but large updates. Since the dev is still around, I don’t think it’s abandonned :)
I waddled onto the beach and stole found a computer to use.

I don’t have the discussion on hand right now, but it’s come up a few times that lemmy.world is dealing with slowness. I think the hardware is having a hard time keeping up with their size, and they’re running an older version of Lemmy on top of that.
You could try another instance in the meantime?
Pinging @rmayayo@lemmy.world :)

@DaMonsterKnees@lemmy.world has been amazing and consistent with posting new content, I love when the posts pop up
hey it looks like you posted a few times. Two of them have discussions already, but maybe you can delete this one?
Oh so that’s why, I reverse searched the image earlier and it linked to that post. Looks like there is another image on that profile now
That’s true, although some brands will still be better than others for quality at a certain price point, or cost/wear
For astronomy there is !astronomy@mander.xyz. The communities on mander.xyz are STEM focussed and usually well moderated.
You could also try
As for the instance, stay wherever you feel most comfortable. I have a few alts on other instances, including lemmy.world. You’re also free to move later if you decide to.
If it helps I am based in the UK.
You can also check out the instance / communities at
Wireless is just a fad anyway /s
Many expressed their appreciation for Kalle’s years of service to the Linux networking stack but as of writing no one has stepped up to take over the formal maintainer role. Thankfully there are other Linux WiFi driver developers out there working on the increasing number of Linux wireless drivers, just not any immediate leader yet to take on the maintainer duties.
Good to know :)
While I didn’t use Linux back then, I heard the wifi situation was difficult to deal with. I assume this maintainer is responsible for fixing that over the years?
How much is the 6 million dollar dog, if we account for inflation
In case that link doesn’t load for some users: https://framapiaf.org/@debian
You might be better off looking for a community where the moderation optimizes for that kind of discussion (ex. Removing low effort comments, requiring citations, academic oriented, etc). It’s harder to find an entire instance that matches those points, but there should be a few communities like that
Then you can use the subscribed feed only, or block the communities you don’t like
Thank you for the detailed breakdown! Lots of new ones on there for me
I’m less familiar with the icons starting at around section 4 onwards.
Could anyone share / link what some of them are?
This is a cool one I haven’t thought of before!
I like the art style!
I find medical terms are fun like that in their own right. A lot of them follow a similar structure with Greek/Latin pieces. Then others have fun origins depending on how we thought the body worked way back when
There are a few browser extensions that can detect RSS feeds, which can help when they’re not advertised openly
Past that, this add-on was decent:

How does this compare to Bookwyrm, or say Trakt?
