I guess I never thought about “hung” but that makes sense. I default to “frozen” anyway. Sanity check and pow-wow for sure would be better to replace.
Isn’t “dummy” originally talking about, well, a dummy? Like a crash test dummy? And then the negative connotation is applying that to a person? It seems like dummy is used properly in the context here?
“Native” seems a bit far reaching. Native doesn’t have an intrinsic negative connotation, but I guess it is used to be negative or exclusionary.
One thing to add is that Discover updates from other sources including flatpak.
I haven’t tried combining online + local multiplayer. It basically adds the local player to the “lobby” so I would think it might interfere.
With you saying “each game let me down more than the last” I didn’t expect you to say your favorite was the second most recent game.
Interesting. What’s your favorite Elder Scrolls? Daggerfall was my first but Morrowind is my favorite.
Torchlight 3 and Infinite. I was a fan of Torchlight before there was Torchlight. I played Fate to death in college. I played Mythos during the beta. I probably put more hours into Torchlight and Torchlight 2 than I did into Diablo and Diablo 2 (and I put a lot of time into Diablo).
I actually had hope for Torchlight Frontiers. I thought it seemed like it could be what Mythos was trying to be - finally an online Torchlight game.
But then they forgot about all of that and essentially released “Torchlight 2 Mobile” but on PC.
Interestingly, I would say Sacred 2 as a huge fan of Sacred 1.
I’ve only played a bit so I can’t say if it’s worth the asking price, but it’s “refreshing” to play as an “old-school action RPG fan.” I played some Diablo 4, POE and Last Epoch and all that but none of them have stuck for me. I find myself going back to Fate (Reawakened is very solid now after a few updates), Torchlight and even Diablo 1.
Titan Quest 2 is solid. It’s slower paced, much like Grim Dawn. It feels much more like the campaign is the focus instead of something they expect you to skip through.
I will say while it’s not as polished at this point, Dragonkin has a similar feeling if you’re looking for more. Dragonkin is made by the team that made Warhammer Chaosbane but it has a lot more depth than that.
Well if you ever want to in the future, try the mod I linked. It works on Linux though I haven’t tried it on my steam deck.
I was so frustrated to learn that they removed couch co-op from the PC version of the Master Chief Collection.
If anyone is similarly frustrated:
This discord has a mod that re-enables it. My son and I have played through 1 and 2 so far and it works as long as you use the “classic” graphics.
Okay… This is good.
It used to be webkit, but it was rebased on Firefox and uses Gecko now.
The problem for me is that I’ll keep things open for reference. Like I might have a few tabs open with info about a game I’m playing, or researching a purchase I’m trying to make. So having those grouped on mobile is super helpful.
I’m glad they’ve added it to desktop, but based on my usage it’s more important for me on mobile. Hopefully they bring it to Android soon.
That last one seems out of left field. That can’t be relevant to anything going on today can it?
Yeah, I remember noting this when I played Assassin’s Creed Odyssey for the first time.
Some people say he would be a great Pope. The best Pope.
Thanks for this.
