I tend to agree that developped countries tend to underestimate the fragility of their systems. But then there still are simple facts like if you spend 10% of your income on food, you can afford significant food price hikes. If you spend 70% of income on food, then a small rise is already lethal.

Having enjoyed the entire expanse series, I didn’t really enjoy this book. I can’t really put my finger on it. I think my biggest issue is that the characters remain pretty bland. Of the group you follow, many remained little more than a name for me.

There’s another free OSM based app that does have some traffic data, it’s called Magic Earth. Not open source though, as their business model is to sell adapted versions.
