sorry for the double reply. It sorta falls apart in the end given the different circumstances. I have to say I do love how they complain so much and that makes me think of our modern day to. Seems like people complain when things are good and seek change even when things are somewhat good and the change is pretty obviously going to be worse.

yeah I sorta picked up on it with the dialogue but since the characters don’t really do it its wierd. Its like the teacher does not do anything because he sees it as wrong but sorta flirted with it because whats the point of anything. And yeah it does hit home especially given the us president in it.

There are meals we make that we eat like five times that week so we tend to never make anything once week even. Will make it regularly but take a week break from it at least.

Its really wierd with the creepy teacher going out after she graduated and is wearing the kid figure packback. I see what you mean though. Its hard to say if the interaction is not really just internal to the group and maybe we are not seeing how they act in more of theyre day to day. I don’t see the adults as to immature just sorta all the bad things we see today. Being on board with violence and uncaring about things except how it benefits them and even with the peace group sorta a tribalism pushing them against their values.

zorin has a windows like interface. I don’t think it necessarily is tracking windows 95 but really the windows like thing is really just a start menu with submenus like windows that I think have not changed much between windows 95 and now.

I mean I use zorin which is an ubuntu spin just made to be as usable as possible out of the box so its super easy. Barely an inconvenience. I see someone mentions bricking but I have not encountered it but I tend to use old hardware soooooo… oh and i should say old nough that a 4060ti would seem pretty new.

I wish I could do that with my own and from what I can tell my algorithms don’t even put them in as much as other folks.

linux really is amazing at this point and I think it can take over the desktop once people realize. There are distros that are install and go without much of a learning curve at all and wine allows for running of windows programs.

I still want something thats guaranteed for life and recoverable so your life is not upended if a company goes belly up. its just to important now.

Im not suggesting it be the only source of email just a guaranteed source that won’t go away and allow for more secure email from the government. people can still go crazy on whatever email provider they want but gmail makes up a huge amount and I mean… I would expect encryption like that. I know folks will say government won’t do that but look at our mail system and how its setup. It can be done. The safest way to safeguard an item from search is to put it in an addressed and stamped envelope.

I sorta do the one thing for everything and that is my laptop but on the other hand I picked up a steamdeck and im really liking having a separate device just for gaming and I have a fire tv stick and that is handy to not have to run a hdmi from my laptop. So like I would want a one and done but realistically I have to use a few things.

I would not say negligable. I mean there is a reason reusable bottles have become a thing and for a big cofee drinker at work that can be like a dozen k-cups.

Yeah if it can essentially work like email but given another name that is fine to me. I think it should at least have a box that can accept emails from whoevery for general correspondence if you need it but yeah I sorta want it to be different for the security it should have. I just figured there would be like an internal government network part with encrypted connections for that communication and then like the secondary one for banks and such where the institution that use something like a vpn to that area and again is all encrypted and then like a public box that is citizen beware type of thing. I have mentioned this before and I think someone mentioned the denmark thing sorta. At least it only makes one more thing you need to log into as opposed to like a million different agencies and institution portals. There is one eastern europe country too that I recall was doing a lot of things online and I assume maybe they have something like this.
