So I click the link. It opens in a webview. I see @stephenfry@mastodonapp.uk there so copy it. I go back out of the webview so I can see my search button. I paste that link in there. “This sub has no posts…retry”
Am I doing it wrong? Or is this just a godawful UX?
You can subscribe on the app the same way as if they were on lemmy.world. When you search in the app, it shows results from all across the fediverse

I don’t think Lemmy search works for anything but communities. You’re trying to use the search to look for a user profile.
It’s also a mastodon account, which might not be supported by Lemmy apps?
