So it’s racial profiling to suspect a black person of a crime even if there’s hard evidence? In the book, Harry had a lot of evidence Snape was trying to steal the stone. He knew Snape had been near Fluffy on Halloween and reasonably concluded he had tried to get past Fluffy. Hermione saw Snape seemingly putting a hex on Harry’s broomstick. But because he’s black you think now it’ll seem like that’s the ONLY reason they suspect him of wrongdoing? If I see a black man walk into a store with a gun, I’m racist if I conclude he might be up to no good? I would draw the same conclusion if it were a white man.

Gonna be real awkward when we see James Potter because a massive racist who enacts a simulated lynching (when he casts levicorpus on Snape).

This casting choice is honestly insane, given that much of why characters distrusted Snape were his physical features (his hair, his nose, etc.)

Rowling might as well start throwing around the N-word next at this rate, since she’s outing herself as not only transphobic but also racist now.

The same teacher who was once hung from a tree by Harry’s dad for being in love with Harry’s mom
