  • Oh, hey. I completely forgot… They have another game called Flower that’s available on Steam. It came out before Journey. You play as the wind, collecting flower petals by waking up flowers. It may sound weird, but it’s super peaceful and relaxing.

The one before that, their first game, is called Flow, but it never got ported to PC, so you’ll need a PS4/5 to play it. You play as a microscopic organism that floats around eating other organisms, growing larger and more elaborate as you do, trying to get to the dark depths.

I love thatgamecompany. Their stuff is always so chill.

  • I played it back when it first came out, and I still pick it up at least once or twice a year just to play it again. It is one of the most beautiful games I have ever played.

Did you get to encounter any other players on your journey? Also, if you collect all of the glyphs (the ones that extend your scarf) you get the white robe. It makes it so that your scarf recharges just from standing on a surface! (And it’s pretty!)

  • My laptop is pretty dang portable. It may not fit in a pocket or what have you, but I carry a backpack anyway. And does windows provide emulators? I just pulled up a huge list, right on Discover Software Center and there are at least a couple different emulators for every major (and even some minor) console, handheld, arcade, and even a DOS emulator for DOS games. Hell, I even have Space Cadet Pinball on this thing. Yeah I’ve pirated on windows, and it’s not as easy, unless you’re talking about music production software, but that’s a whole other beast. Don’t get me wrong, Steam Deck is awesome and I would love to get one, but $650 is a hefty chunk of change for a lot of people, and considering I’m trying to save up for a Framework, I’m not interested in spending that kind of money right now.

No, I know the difference between someone being giddy over finding themselves and someone doing it for attention. Unlike the fucking hexbears you see here throwing hate around, I know how to be introspective and self-reflect. I imagine it’s not uncommon for people to wonder what it’s like to be the opposite gender. My wife occasionally asks me what it really feels like to have a cock and balls. Hell, I’ve wondered what it really feels like to have a vagina and clit. But neither of us is going to change genders just to find out. It’s just natural curiosity. Trans people don’t bother me. Being browbeat is what bothers me.

Yes. So why are they bothering everyone else with it?

Remember a handful of years ago when all of a sudden everyone and their mother had a gluten allergy? That’s what this shit feels like. Yes, there are a lot of trans people out there. But I have encountered so fucking many, both on- and offline, that are just doing it to feel special.

Have you not seen all these hexbear fuckwits?

Yes, many of the interactions I’ve had with trans people, both on- and offline, have brought me to this. I always try to treat people as people, until they show themselves for what they truly are. It’s really simple: are they an asshole or not? If they are not an asshole, we cool. If they are, they can just fuck right off.
