Do we like it though? It seems like a good thing (anything has to be better than the currently broken system right?), but after reading some of the comments I’m not sure.
Foot hammock or footrest pad
For sure, can’t wait to see how this comes along and the useful functionality it will hopefully provide!
Awesome! Thanks for the update, I’ll check it out 😁
It’s so that they can advertise to you more. Giving them whatever information is ‘required’ to sign up for whatever ‘rewards’ they’re offering is more beneficial to them than it is to you, guaranteed. I just don’t buy in, if that means that I’m somehow paying more than so be it.
I think people have forgotten how to have principles these days, or just don’t care.
Don’t even ask, just start washing them yourself. Lol
Is there any way that you could write to this guy that was hard of hearing? Maybe he would be willing to share some information with you, if you told him some of the things you’ve told us here?
Thank you for sharing this too, I enjoyed reading your experience.
Sounds kind of similar to the medical industry really
Thanks for the dogtraining one. That’s probably what I needed
I mean yeah, maybe it won’t affect me directly, I like the instance I’m on and it’s a pretty respectable one. However, indirectly, this is very relevant to any Fediverse user, regardless of the instance or platform they’re using. Allowing abuses like this to happen without any pushback is a surefire way of turning this place into a shithole just like the rest of the internet. I appreciate the fact that, at least for now, it’s different here.
Also, maybe this isn’t my only homebase? Just saying.
I was under the impression that DM’s on Mastodon (and Lemmy too) weren’t ever stated as being secure and I think that they were both pretty transparent about this particular aspect.
Yeah, we’re trying to get the fuck away from algorithms. That’s what makes the fediverse such a big draw currently, for me.
Look at that shit-eating grin, he knows. There’s no way someone can be that out of touch, right? Right?!?
I don’t think that I would ever trust this, considering the state of everything currently. But yeah, if it was secure and safe. I think it would be cool to have things like better storage capabilities, eyesight enhancements, auxiliary sensations, etc.
It probably wouldn’t be cheap either though, which already puts the concept out of my reach.
shrugs
No problem, hope you are successful in your endeavors.
Kind of depends on what you’re selling specifically, but my usual avenues are ebay and craigslist. I’ve had mixed results, but sometimes it’s effective.
Not one person that I’ve told so far has been aware of Mastodon, unfortunately. At this point, if I met someone in real life that actually knew about the Fediverse already, I’d probably shit a brick.
Exciting as always, to see more progress being made. I like the ctrl+enter feature, and see myself using that one often. What are the names of the new instances?
