  • Oh fuck off mate, anything “back in the day” just means before tech, if you wanna pick a specific timeline, go for it, but thats cause you wanna talk about a specific timeline. You can answer the question through any pre-google maps timeline and no one would question you for shit, this isnt your prof. history class, it’s some dude that prolly just had a wank and mid post nut clarity went “how the fuck did me great granddaddy get around the country?”

As for methods, same basic concept as my first question, answer with whatever knowledge you have, but mapping, 95% of the time, would mean how to get from your house to your local Trader Joe’s.

  • You know, it’s funny how they say, if you get these consequences like getting your bank account closed, it means YOU were a bad person and you deserved that, but, what happens when the people in charge are the bad ones? You lose your hard earned money because bad people dont like that you’re a good person? Banks can’t be trusted, no one can really, we’re all just following a system that works because everyone agrees to follow it, what happens if we don’t? People decide, you know what? I dont think this virtual money that was printed out of thin air actually has any value beyond being a colourful green piece of paper. Alas, that won’t happen, a man can dream. Would be stupid to deny that this system has made everything so much faster and easier to work with, won’t talk about the risks of it though.

Would a crypto like monero for complete anonimity and not being able to be frozen or DAI for a less anonymous but also freeze safe option be a good option to save my money in? I know cash is king, but, I’m speaking from a simple “what are my options?” pov.

  • I see, that would be really helpful, and I did know that as the name suggest SYNCthing was obv for syncing, but, I just couldnt get it to work properly on my zorin and samsung together, whether the folder would never be created in the directory i inputed and so on, so as I last ditch I was like “wth, may as well use it to save stuff” then I found local send, the ease of it almost makes it as easy as syncing…almost

  • I use Localsend, to me it feels like what Syncthing wishes it was on some level, Localsend is limited to only sending messages to devices using the same network, however, on pure simplicity, Localsend is the goat. Maybe I’m just too stupid for Syncthing, I watched the tutorial and all, it just seemed way to overcomplicated to me on certain aspects, even when it worked it felt like I did something wrong, it was never as simple as “pick file, send file”. Localsend is my go-to nowadays and does all i needed from Syncthing 10x as fast and with a much better UI.
