a lot of muppets died for that room
the niche communities that i subbed to here after being a reddit refugee are mostly ghost towns… kind of a bummer.
perusing ‘everything’ is where you’ll run across the reddit-y kind of stuff
I use my irl Gmail for pretty much everything at this point. I just don’t give a f anymore. I do have a domain I keep in my back pocket just in case. but IMHO if the man cares enough to know about me , the man is gonna know
i mean i enjoy the comics, and i think watching the show would be nice, but another avenue of this coming at me would be overkill for me. like listening to your favorite song too many times, then not being able to enjoy it.
I get the desire to do so, but I also don’t want to burn out on it.
it can very much depend on your instance, do you look at the ‘all’ option and or do you just stay on your instance?
there were 3-4ish communities on that other site that i was pretty active in that are ghost towns here and there is a zero to none chance that they will migrate over. i still go over there for those communities.
that said, for the mindless amusement/newsanddoom scroll lemmy is fine and i do find myself more active here in the general community. it’s just those niche communities haven’t hit the numbers they need to be self-sustaining.
so many communists
ah… forget reddit!
gotta sub and stay away from all ;)
thing that got me w/ YTV, and got it ultimately canceled was trying to share it w/ a family in another state. that doesn’t fly, which was a huge bummer.
this is cute, but just makes me want to listen to CCR and fly a helicopter in battlefield: vietnam :P
and netscape navigator. ah my glory days!
oh look, my cum rag :p
that’s fashion for the gimp!
I’m definitely more active here than I am\was on reddit, and there’s definitely less activity here… but I can accept that, just to get away from the firehose of nonsense that reddit has become.
i think an ‘apply to all’ switch would be nice, but i get what you’re saying
just make all new things metric as the primary unit and US imperial as the secondary. eg. reverse the display on a speedometer
