27 Feb is no more or less ambiguous than 02-27. The problems are when you choose a proper example, like 03/02
Decent human beings in every country find that word offensive (with the exception of the people of color slang culture saying it among each other). The people not finding it offensive are mentally ill hate-filled racists.
Mozilla fakes the user agent for sites without a plugin? oO - that is news to me, but fair point in that case…
You and me both, but as long as we allow accumulation of capital, that’s not gonna happen, I’m afraid.
I wish Microsoft and Google homies would just get beamed into a parallel universe to ruin with their bullshit…
These companies typically have management take the IT advice from their IT managers, and if those intentionally block non Windows/Google/fascist software, you don’t find anyone in the organization willing to listen to you. The only way to fight this is by not doing business with them whenever avoidable.
You are welcome. Worked fine last time I tried it with e.g. the Teams web client (forced to use it for work still)
That’s basically never an error, but malice. But I admire your naivity :)
Try user agent switcher. More often than not, websites work just fine with firefox but refuse to load when the browser identifies as not-fascist-google-trash.
saying that “gas” is able to catch fire on its own is stretching it :) A gas mix typically still needs a spark, unlike: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypergolic_propellant <- that stuff can “catch fire” on its own. But even there - it needs to be mixed, so technically, one component requires the other to ignite.
It’s frustrating that people are so bad at dates that ISO8601 lives rent-free in my head because I constantly have to tell people ;)
Agree with you on IP and I agree it seems to be sadly a minority opinion.
my apologies, I was actually thinking of “unlocking the bootloader”, rooting a device without an unlocked bootloader didn’t even occur to me. And since unlocking a bootloader is non-trivial by design, that would prevent any such accidents.
Rooting a device shouldn’t be any more complicated than having a sticker saying “warranty void if removed”.
Why not force them to unlock root from the start?
1 point for the same reason, but having used traveler’s cheques :)
Hope she never goes to Britain…
