Some variety in content that is friendly and fun. Not all doom and hating on corporations. I am not advocating for corporations btw.
On the same note, it is amazing how people complain about quality of journalism, but get mad if they see an ad or have to pay a subscription to news sites.
Chronological timeline doesn’t really work unless you build a highly curated list. Not many people used Twitter that way.
Mastodon has 2M active users and has been steady for quite a while now. Fediverse is growing, maturing. Also Lemmy is trying to compete with Reddit, and Mastodon is trying to compete wuth Twitter. Lemmy and Mastodon are not actually competing with each other.
Lemmy felt buggy AF for me. Web client or Jerboa. Sync for Lemmy is so smooth already, it feels like business as usual to me.
