You might want to relocate the litter box or add another.
!android@lemdro.id is the standard way of linking to a community on Lemmy and magazines on kbin/mbin (!community@instance.domain).
!ukraine@sopuli.xyz is the biggest on the Fediverse (see https://browse.feddit.de). Posts there come up on “All” very frequently.
Sopuli.xyz is a longstanding instance hosted in Finland.
Why? It’s collapsible btw.
Adding my voice to the chorus here… adopt from a rescue!
Don’t jinx it! 😅

You’re right. Reddit was the same way during the Digg migrations. The first wave took place with the HD DVD code fiasco migration when some people setup their first accounts. It was a couple years later when Digg upset users again that the final big wave occurred. This is a great place for Lemmy as growing pains get worked out and development catches up to much needed moderation functionality.
As Cole and I say in reference to lemdro.id, it’s a marathon not a sprint! !android@lemdro.id has also been steadily increasing in active and subscribed users.
What we really need are universal post URLs so people can visit posts without leaving their home instance. It’s not a great user experience to find yourself on the wrong instance and unable to respond after clicking the “cross-posted from” link (or when linked elsewhere).
We run them! Cole set them up and I try to keep them updated ASAP based on GitHub alerts.
Genuine question - have you considered options for moving? Long commutes are a huge opportunity cost and time sink!
Here’s the URL in case anyone was wondering: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/utah-teacher-brianne-altice-defends-relationship-with-teenage-student-a6972656.html (ind.pn/1RG5rzT).
Nope. Not everything needs to be like Reddit IMO.
It can also depend on the time of day if browsing All or which communities you’re in. Lemmy does have a lot of folks who were banned from various subreddits, but they’re a minority.
It’s tricky and something that largely sorts itself out over time as an instance matures. It was a lot of leg work early on manually searching up communities with lemdro.id but has been smooth sailing the last few months!
You wouldn’t have to go back that far to make $$$$. Just go back a week and buy the right stock options.
Try adding yourself as mod in the community first.
Agreed! I’m really appreciative of folks putting this kind of work into Lemmy.
