There is a question on the constitutionality of automated surveillance technology, the type of data that is being collected, who has access to them, and how they are using it. Additionally, some other concerns I can think of off the top of my head are:

• Are the taxpayers funding this?
• Is my data being sold?
• If so, who is profiting?
• Where is supporting data showing this type of surveillance is needed?
• What demographical areas are these cameras more prevalent in? Aka are there a subset of peoples being targeted by this type of surveillance?
• What are the rules and regulations agencies need to follow with the data they capture with this tool?

I second the student visa route. It doesn’t get you residency right away and is an expensive strategy, but it gets you out pretty quick. You also become more desirable since you have a higher education from a locally known institution. Currently doing this in New Zealand.

We also save all of our egg cartons and donate them to the elementary schools. Teachers love using them to help students learn math, especially fractions. They’re also useful for arts and crafts. Check with the school office before dropping them off, but I’ve never had the schools be anything less than enthused to have these.

The college geography department will sometimes sell old and outdated maps to raise some funds, rather than just recycling them. They make great wrapping paper that’s unique to you.
