Tried Sync, Liftoff, Connect and Lemmotif (I think that’s all the free ones on the playstore as of August '23), and I am always preferring Jerboa.

I now have a whole folder full of “on-hold until further notice” fediverse apps. I really want to find a use for Mastodon, Pixelfed and Element. I guess I never really used X (lol), and Instagram and Discord I use for very specific things, which currently don’t seem to translate for me to the fediverse. Also recently downloaded Quasseldroid because I wanna get back to using irc for some high-seas adventures (though I only briefly used that back in the ICQ days to chat with friends).
Back to jerboa for me. Even though people seem to overlook it, it seems to work pretty well, and every single app I try just leads me back to it. I am also getting faster loading thumbnails and images on it than sync. Sync does feel smooth with its high refresh rate, but in my limited time with it, that seems to be the only plus it has over jerboa (edit: for the way I like using it; list or compact mode).
I’m from everywhere, man.
I mean, you implied your experience being a part of an organisation that literally kills people for money and destroys whole civilisations wasn’t a negative one. I feel like you don’t see how hostile you actually are just by existing in that state. My words are nothing in comparison.
Your comment doesn’t even make sense in the context of what OP wrote. They didn’t talk about their personal experience at all really. It was more a universal take about awakening to the role of the military in the modern age. I guess, unfortunately for humanity, you are the perfect candidate to wear a uniform.
My comment was more about the knee-jerk reaction to new ideas and new ways of looking at things you may think you are already familiar with.
He raped and destroyed my old frenemy.
I can’t be bothered with all that and just wash everything at 30c on the quickest setting. Though I do also have to do an extra 1400rpm spin cycle to get rid if the excess dampness as my machine only does max 1000rpm at lower temps.
My main washing gauntlet is my drying regimen as I tend to max out the radiator. I hate slow dried clothes if they are not dried outside, as thicker shirts and trousers and the elasticated parts of boxers and thick socks get a nasty damp smell if no radiator is involved (shitty northern europe weather).
Segue: Is there a way to enlarge these images on jerboa? They are teeny, and all touching them in any way does is hide/close the comment.
Edit: I see on Connect they actually work as links and can be opened in a new tab.
A lot of people in the comments can’t seem to make the distinction between what they have been fed since they were little and that they are used to, and what is good, or tastes good.
Having an early morning swim in the sea every morning for the next few weeks.
According to Camus “the struggle itself toward the heights is enough to fill a man’s heart.” So he thinks Sissy was pretty happy. I want to know if you asked Monty Hall to ask Sisyphus, would he be able to tell him the truth about his emotional state?
2040, the year the fediverse was taken over by the Humongous Language Model.

They’re like the Catholic Church of environmental activism.
69kg is actually a pretty normal weight, 69lbs is super light, 69st would be incredibly fat. 69F would be super cold and 69C would be ridiculously hot. 69K would be insanely cold.
Piracy is part and parcel of the global economic system, and since that system hasn’t changed since time immemorial, well it always has been too.
Top Left: Bilbo snaps while trying to get the ring from Frodo in a moment of weakness at Rivendell in Lord of the Rings.
Top Right: The ghostly bodies under water in the Dead Marshes where Gollum is leading Frodo and Bilbo in The Two Towers.
Bottom Left: Galadriel refusing the ring from Frodo while freaking out and explaining how she’d become evil if she took it in LotR.
Bottom Right: Part way through Smeagol’s transformation into Gollum in The Return of the King.
