As an Affinity Designer user for years this looks really wonderful. I’m happy with my Affinity products on my IPad Pro for artistic work so I never look into alternatives, so I had no idea Inkscape was so impressive.

I think we’re at a unique point where windows has pissed off people to no end by continuing to ruin their operating system, and Linux has reached a very mature point. Everyone I know that uses windows hates it now, more than ever, and are finally at the tipping point.
They’ve done such amazing work for Linux. Linux gaming wouldn’t be the same without them.
I’m subscribed to a few kbin communities so I do technically still use kbin (yay fediverse). But I’m using a Lemmy account because I like my home server as a place to have my account tied to.
I can’t wait for this to arrive in the next version of gnome - version 61.05.
I thought this meant they were developing their own alternative to x11 & Wayland. It’s just how windows are arranged on the desktop.
