I remember the video this is from. I think it’s just a low wall that’s open above that with a staircase on the other side.

I am currently learning how to explore the Akashic Records, and in my free time, I enjoy reading stories on AO3, especially set in the Human Domestication Guide universe.

Cora@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•App for downsizing MP3s automatically when copying to a phone?English6·2 months agoI don’t know about automatic, but I also have music locally on my phone after moving away from streaming services.
I use fre:ac to convert from FLAC to MP3, and then just save it in a separate folder. Then when I’m done I move the folder to the phone and delete it from the computer so I just have FLAC on my computer.
Not automatic, but that’s how I usually do it.
Thanks for the Summit recommendation. I just tried it out when Sync for Lemmy stopped letting me login after I had to repatch it with Revanced, and it’s pretty great!
Cora@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•What do you prefer: icon view or detailed list view?English8·3 months agoDetail view forever.
I am using Bluefin, based on Fedora Silverblue. I realized that I was already exclusively using flatpaks for everything except one random app, so I thought why not go all-in?
Haven’t had to worry about updates or system breakages since, and it’s been great so far.
I used to use Debian Stable, but since doing SysAdmin work I’ve just become used to the way Fedora / RHEL does things.
Cora@lemmy.worldto Firefox@lemmy.ml•What is the keyboard shortcut to "go to previous displayed tab" ?English31·3 months agoHoly crap. Use the Tab Stash extension. Separate tabs into windows and stash the entire window. It will save them all to a group or collection that you can name, and you can go back and reopen them when needed.
Seriously, I can’t imagine how outdated your browser is if you never close it, not to mention the last time you restarted your computer. You’re one power failure away from chaos.
If you also get the xBrowserSync extension, you can back up all your bookmarks and tabs so if your computer ever dies you can restore it to a new browser install.
My spice tolerance definitely increased after living in Sichuan Province for 6 months.
I’ve hopped around to a bunch of different distros, but I always return to Debian Stable. I don’t really need the most bleeding-edge packages for my system, due to my use case.
Most of my actual apps are installed via Flatpak, so they’re all pretty recent, while still being on a rock-solid stable distribution.
I definitely do recommend setting the max_parallel_downloads to between 10 and 20. I had the same issue as OP with DNC being super slow, and this fixed it perfectly. I don’t know why that’s not set by default.
