Being able to see your actual performance versus your framegen performance is really quite cool.

Nice. Saves a step.
Now I wish there were a way to force Proton games to run in Gamescope. I usually add it as a launch option because it makes some games play nicer with the window manager.
I know it can be done with steamtinkerlaunch, but that is still kind of a workaround.
Well now… TIL!
Fair – what I meant was more about the Teams binary kind of not being needed at all (you can use the web version without it). So having a Linux binary explicitly just seems a little weird, marketing aside.
I think MS assumes no one will use it. But having Linux builds of some of their software enhances their “MS loves Linux” marketing.
Teams is another example.
Kicad is up there with the paid options for electronic schematic drafting / PCB design. I don’t use a lot of KDE stuff since I also don’t use KDE, but Kicad is absolutely essential for me.
It is, perhaps, the only thing he touches that is made in the USA.
I bet Tim Apple is really happy about his large donation to the Trump inauguration.
Then again, if you’re that rich, maybe having some intelligence and foresight should be an expectation. If you don’t have those things, maybe you shouldn’t be rich.
That said, for a 25% tariff, it isn’t even close. Still far cheaper for Apple to manufacture outside of the US and pass that additional cost to the US consumer.
Is it just me, or does that sound like a monopoly?
Do any creatives attempt to create assets for another platform?
I’m really not blaming creatives on this one. Obviously they need to make money. But this seems like a clear case of advantage being taken against one skillset by virtue of monopoly.
I’d say it seems like the key issue affecting creatives, if AI didn’t exist.
As an outsider: how did we get to a point where every creator is limited to one box?
Is it the case that most creatives cancel their subs when they get that job? Does the job have a site license (assuming Adobe even allows site licenses)?
It won’t stop until creatives stop paying.
There are alternative tools available, but the number of people I have seen not want to learn a new UI is high. Adobe knows this, so they continue to raise prices.
Should have just used AI, at least then people could debate whether or not it was plagiarism
Starfield would be fine if there was a way to get from place to place without constant reloads. This is a limitation of the (ancient) engine the game is on, as I understand it.
The thing is, we already have games like No Man’s Sky which do this very well. Starfield may have been better received if it came out 15 years ago, but against modern space games, it just sucks.
That’s ignoring anything else wrong with the game, of course, and there is plenty. But I could get over a lot if it didn’t feel like I was playing a menu instead of flying a spaceship at every change of scenery.
He’s obviously working for Big 586.
Wait, are you saying adding new trade war strain on an already troubled economy wasn’t the right call???!
Disagree hard. Diet and Zero are sweeter than full fat coke. It comes out more with alcohol.
numerous bug fixes, Creation Kit upgrades and there’s even a new Very Low graphics setting option.
So the gameplay still sucks, then eh?
No 4k TV either. I don’t really see the point.
I really hope this is true. The only thing that will stop Rockstar from the delayed PC release nonsense in the future is actually stopping the double dip.
I ended up with a PS4 just for Red Dead 2. But I still haven’t bought it on PC and have no plans to do so.
The thing is, the PS4 kind of made sense because I also wanted a Blu-Ray player. I still have it for that, so a PS5 would be an impossible sell to me. It’s like Rockstar tries to sell consoles but this time around is one of the worst ever console eras.
