Strange. I could only find vector settings in the regular Element app. And even stranger, it prompts me with “Accept Identity Server Terms” but if I tap on the identity server option it says “You are currently using vector…”. I also cannot disconnect unless I accept the terms. I really wish all of this was more clear.
I don’t like what I see in the iOS app stores privacy section for the app.
I do have a lot of favorites from over the years but I still find new bands/albums I fall in love with. So instead of recommending any old favorites I will give you my album of the year (thus far) from a band I didn’t really enjoy before.
Caligula‘s Horse - Charcoal Grace
Absolutely fantastic album and I would strongly recommend listening to it from start to finish.
Dunning-Kruger entered the chat.
When I heard the Tool cover of No Quarter and found out the original was by Led Zeppelin I gave that version a spin too. My disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined.
Reason being that I really like the Led Zeppelin vocalist. But his performance on that song is just unbearable to me.
The Tool cover though, absolutely amazing!
You missed the point while drawing your circular argument.
Take what you said and replace fly with human. Wait here I’ll do it for you:
If a human lacks agency, you would be able to predict its movement given a sufficiently accurate set of information.
If it has agency, you could not.
Now tell me how you will acquire a sufficiently accurate set of information about a human and its environment to test your hypothesis.
I don’t understand what you are getting at. You are either saying that you can predict where a fly is going to go when you set it free or you are saying that a fly has internal agency.
That said, we contain the ability to observe and react to our surroundings which causes a large and complex web of interactions that aren’t trivial to map or anticipate.
That unpredictablity is what we ultimately define as freedom.
How does higher uncertainty of my choices achieving what I strive for raise the perception of freedom of said choice?
It’s been years since I’ve used their service but back then they were notorious for tricking users into signing up for their premium service with dark patterns and making it very hard to cancel. Which is why I left them and have dissuaded anyone from ever using their services.

On iOS you can set a bedtime with a flexible wind down reminder. I’m reminded an hour before bedtime that wind down is starting and I’ll know that if I want a good nights sleep I should start my evening routine. Which includes brushing teeth and stuff.
It doesn’t always work but most of the time I’m in bed at least close to schedule.
Helped me tremendously since activating it a few years ago.
Edit: Just read OPs comment, making up for lost sleep later, like on the weekend, doesn’t work afaik.
I’m saying not making each other miserable should be the norm. Being courteous and decent to each other should be the norm. Which includes greeting each other. No need to go overboard with donuts and the killing kind of kindness.
You’re saying things that don’t match up with what I wrote. Not sure why that is.
I don’t know about bringing donuts or the other reply about killing them with kindness. Both would be too much for someone like me.
Like, am I obligated to bring donuts now? Are we now caught up in a perpetual donut bringing cycle until it becomes the new normal and there’s donuts all the time?
And killing them with kindness is just overdoing it. I’d not feel comfortable.
Can we not just be courteous and decent to each other at this place of -work-? Don’t get me wrong. If you’re having a great day, tell me about it and share the joy. If you’re having a shitty day, I’ll be there to listen. But on the regular, let’s just not make each other miserable.
That is a collection of pieces of media though, op asked about a single piece.
It’s a scenario that Neal Stephenson covers in his book “Fall; or, Dodge in Hell”. Interesting read, although it’s one of my least favorite books of him and I liked the first book in the “Dodge” series a lot better.
Are you referring to the measurement objects I mentioned in the draw.io portion?
It’s extra work that I find unnecessary if the walls already are set to the correct dimensions. I would like to be able to just turn on/off the visibility. And also not have to edit 2 objects for the same measurement if anything changes.
