2·9 days agoNone but some companies are still businesses that are privately owned by themselves and the Revenue Comes from the products and services that they make and scams where their revenue comes from scamming investors and stock market manipulation that’s why Enshittification works. The manipulation is even happening when it benefits the users at the beginning.

8·1 month agoThe 90s internet is still here the web is just gone. Tildeverse, Gemini, BBS, Muds and IRC are still around. Its smaller but so was 90s internet but its still a lot of fun in the hidden corners of the net.

10·1 month agoI watched the video its clearly satire that makes fun of gatekeeper arch users that are smug against other distributions because they think following a few commands and doing a bootstrapped install make them superior to people that use distros with robust installer packages. Note I don’t think all arch users are smug just the BTW crowd that don’t get its a joke.

At least they have moved on from Minecraft. If nothing else it’s a good exercise in teaching them critical thinking by pointing out all the grifts and scams that come across their feed and teaching how to use YouTube without using the Algorithm parts.
