I just applied to one but just got the news I’m not moving forward so I’m a lil sad. But hey I can only hope they choose people actually better suited. I’ll get em next time
I give my comrades a lil cash when they need it
Also try and join a SAR team but alas going nowhere fast with that
My backup is begging my computer to implode so I can experience the sweet relief of getting offline.
But also I use external discs and make copies of important files I can’t recreate. Don’t care too much about config as I am happy enough to distro hop and set things up anew.
But actually hexbear does need a future Squidward. We’ve got others but we need future
That’s cool software…kinda love it
I started my Linux time on a 1080 and never really had issues. Never really knew I supposed to haha. Now on a AMD card that works great but actually took a bit more setup for myself to make work perfectly.
So who knows
Currently my server is at 1.5 TiB uploaded since last restart. Always on lol. I wonder how badly it impacts my energy bill. I just have a 1gig unlimited data connection. Figure I oughta use it haha . And yes obvious iso and open src software and the like.
Seriously people act like googling an error is the end of the world AND windows never ever makes a user troubleshoot. Like dude windows constantly fucks up and you gotta figure shit out
It’s a good thing users never have to troubleshoot windows then
Old Tom here has a Plex server connected to sonarr, radarr, my torrent client, etc. This allows me to more or less search for something I want to watch and with a button click have it downloaded anywhere from a few minutes and up depending on the title’s popularity. Ultimately it’s actually a better experience than any streaming service.
Nice. I do be playing with my ropes whenever I’m board at work. Oh boring meeting whip out my rope.
The name doesn’t lie ha
The truly magical things are hitches. Those things look like they should just slip off and come undone and yet I’ll hang off a clove hitch all day
I like to wonder around the forest singing.
That and rock climbing but like traditional and aid climbing in the alpine. Most people lose interest when I start talking about various knots and their attributes in different situations.
Absolutely. Once you spend just a bit of time figuring out how config files work suddenly fixing problems on and maintaining your Linux system is far easier than windows. Not hidden behind layers of bad UI that doesn’t work. Just edit the file. Restart the process.
My next build as it stands will be AMD. of course who knows what will be good by the time I get to do that.
Ya that’s about right. Next step is from that live Linux disc install Linux.
No I’ll never deny that. Some things do only work in very specific environments. I’ll also never pretend learning is a task with zero effort or that everyone is interested in doing. What bugs me is when people are dishonest about it. Linux is not impossibly difficult to use nor is Windows a sublime user experience with no friction.
Anticheat though ya that’s fucked. Hate that. I’ll admit I have a Windows partition solely for playing the few games that require it. Though haven’t booted it in a year or so.
He was always brilliant in Star Trek. Especially as adult Jake sisko in DS9. That episode is a fave
