Weapons was very well done, good cinematography, good plot, solid acting, very well put together.
Late 80s early 90s I got into the database for our menus & recipes and changed ‘hot dog’ to ‘tibe steak smothered in underwear’ and then promptly forgot about it until one day months later with the storeroom clerk he was printing the monthly menus and inventory, lol and behold I laughed my ass off. He never even noticed because we just printed and filed the paperwork.
I also point around in areas that were ‘resteicted’ I found the ‘star wars’ game, and I would play it for hours on the midnight shift. Nothing like the old green screen games.
Insert Willem Dafoe meme Im something of a hacker myself

Had the original all the way up to the last series and finally stopped using it because the Steam Deck is more useful and better at what it does.
Plus I’m not pigeonholed into one systems games.

Top tier comment right here!

me over here enjoying the entire vitriol between the two groups because everyone is soooooooo edgy

Ambien can be crazy though, my mother used to go out and eat an entire cake (or cook something and eat it all) in the middle of the night. More anecdotes than can be counted.
As an alternative (because, being her child I would probably do the same and would rather not) I made mini brownies with 3MG THC and threw them in the freezer …30 seconds in the microwave and in an hour I’m sound asleep.

THERE ARE DOZENS OF US! DOZENS!

So, the garlic was there because we bought a 3L tin of olive oil, we would get loads of bread from school and drank wine
We were culinary students, so the wine was ‘necessary’ and since we had to make a choice about spending money we spent it on olive oil, garlic and wine.
A solid career investment, if you will.
IMO, there are two types of horror films: Terror and Slashers.
Terror depends on building tension through a story, cinematography & acting- few jump scares and focus on the creature (if there is one) but enough to keep the story moving. Jaws, Aliens, Hereditary, Weapons.
Slashers are just teenagers in a camp being chased by the bad guy, tripping over everything along the way. They depend on blood, gore and bad decisions. Nightmare on elm street, Halloween, Jason & Scream.
There are outliers that cross both lines, of course, The Evil Dead was a great, campy slasher. The Crazies was a good zombie slasher with an interesting story. Event Horizon if you account for the Warhammer 40k theory. Momma was a nightmare fueled fever dream of a movie and also deserves a mention.
I guess, to answer your original question is that I like these movies mainly for the reason I like other movies: an interesting story that isn’t something close to reality, but is feasible…the suspension of reality for a time.
