That movie had no right being as good as it is. It’s STILL good, despite the 90’s camp. Or perhaps partly because of it.
None of the big studios wanted it, because they expected it would bomb at the box office, so it was funded - with only a $7m budget - by New Line Cinema, who had no interest in riding herd on the creators. The lack of executive meddling allowed them to make what they wanted to make. (And, of course, Henson did an amazing job with the turtles and Splinter.)

The Disney live-action movies are a prime example of taking the wrong lesson from critiques. Changes to pre-existing stories need to be done with a plot-driven purpose; the changes to Beauty and the Beast did not, the changes to Snow White would honestly have been served better with a Lord of the Rings-style treatment of dwarves what with the beards and mining obsession and all rather than just forgetting that they’re dwarves, and so when they tried to avoid changing anything at all for Moana, they made something that had no artistic purpose at all. In essence, the people behind the live-action remakes don’t know how to make a story, and when the most obvious change is gender politics, that’s what it gets blamed on. The solution is to hire good writers, not ditch the politics - because there is no such thing as art without politics.
The usual solution is to use the cash to pay for things that you can pay cash for - stuff you buy at a brick-and-mortar store like groceries, electronics, et cetera - while continuing to use your card to pay for the rest. It means you have the cash longer, but you’ll get through it eventually, and your regular income will stretch further in the meantime.
And of course, by turning it in to the police, it ensures that neither you nor the original owner of the money will receive it.
It’s especially ironic considering the Dustbowl Years came about due to bad farming practices (thanks to capitalism).
I mean, that’s a steno mask, and anyone who’s had issues with hand pain but wants to communicate via text has probably wished for something resembling this. The problem is that they’re obnoxiously expensive. (And they look ridiculous, but that’s its own issue.)
When I’m in public, I wish people had these. I neither need nor want to listen to your phone conversations.

That’s correct. You can play it just fine unless you’re playing a multiplayer game or DLC. You put the disc in, it installs what it needs to install in order to run, and you play the game.
That way, when the servers go down, you can still play it.
Rockets take off at an angle because they stay up due to horizontal motion, not vertical (once they’re above the atmosphere). Essentially they go so fast that the curved surface of the earth falls away exactly as fast as the rocket falls. If they just went up, they’d come back down at the same speed due to gravity. Gravity affects rockets for way further than you would think (consider that the moon stays where it is in orbit due to gravity).
I think using the Syndicate name was something of a poison pill for the game. People who liked the original Syndicate and Syndicate Wars would be turned off by it being essentially completely unrelated; people who didn’t care about the original probably wouldn’t care about it using the same name. That, and at the time there was a glut of FPSes being released.
This is changing, to some extent, with Linux and WINE. Several old games that refuse to run in Windows 11 work just fine on my Deck.

Careening specifically implies having little control while going fast. Hauling ass doesn’t suggest lack of control.
For some reason, companies in the USA are deathly afraid of someone using sick time when they aren’t actually sick, so they restrict it as tightly as possible. Never mind that this means people are either coming in to work sick, or taking unpaid time off.
Productivity gains haven’t resulted in an increase in wages since the '70s, Bezos. Get your head out of the sand.
