This is all just semantics and how the word ‘opposite’ can be applied in different ways. I wouldn’t spend too much time on this.
Just a silly feller

I’ve never been an incel but I’ve always sympathised because I feel like I easily could have become one. Seeing a therapist and learning the basics of Cognitive Bias Therapy is what I attribute to helping me out of a lot of those ‘thought loops’.
It’s nice hearing stories about people who’ve escaped it.
Yeah, I did something for work where I had to study up about it and instead of being angry it’s just kind of a fun fact. I don’t actually mind what people say, I think everyone understands what you mean regardless.
I am the guy in the middle, except I’m telling people it’s octopuses.
The funniest part of this is that it didn’t have the one song I expected: https://youtu.be/ZvSgLHWR16o?si=_bKjOUbXmsuLZi0w
Neigh. The picture is only showing from the (human) wrist down. Horse legs and most (all?) mammal quadruped legs actually pretty closely resemble each other.
This is where I’m trying to get to. Any new software I try to make sure is foss and linux where possible. It’s just a bit of a pain with music because there’s a lot of tools I’ve bought over the years and would like to continue using.
Yes, I’ve been trying hard to squeeze some linux into my life, currently trying to turn an old laptop into a little music machine for jamming with on me midi keyboard. I’ve run across quite a few issues just trying to get specific software working. I did cave at one point and try to use windows 10 but their installation media tool would fail every time I tried and the hardware is too old for windows 11 lol. It also triggered my gag reflex just thinking of all the ads it would feed me and all the bullshit I’d have to disable to make it respect my privacy. A number of different distros just worked flawlessly, though, and if all I needed to do was simple computer things and web I’d be laughing.
Yeah, there’s still some other little things, but it’s surprising just how good the out of the box experience is, especially considering how little support the project has had from hardware and software vendors.
Linux is honestly great, literally the only things holding it back is programs supporting it. I’m painfully tied to a select few windows programs for work and hobbies, Wine tries its best but programs need to start supporting linux before proper adoption can kick off.
Yes, I agree. I’m trying to rid myself of as much as I can, but unfortunately it’s not always practical.
I actually don’t hate onedrive that much. I’ve used it for a while now and it’s one of the best ways to just share a folder with some people very easily. And they can even use the desktop app and you can all have a cloud synced folder, it’s really convenient for collaborating on projects. I know other things can do this, but few do it as seamlessly.
That said I’m trying pretty hard to ditch it because I hate how Microsoft are just making it the default behaviour without really making it apparent that all your documents just get uploaded to their servers. I hope proton drive gets the features I need soon,.
I got into sewing so I do use an iron, but even then half the time I’m lazy and don’t even press my seams. I’m not very good at sewing as a result, but I have a good time all the same.
you can do both if you just choose not to care about wrinkled clothes.
Who are you trying to convince?
Obviously I’d prefer it if you didn’t eat animals but I’m actually chill with just being more mindful about what you support. If you’re going out of your way to try and minimise the harm you’re doing then that’s better than most people.
And at least you recognise the environmental harm. The only thing that really annoys me is people lying about these things.
They might not like it but they sure do tolerate it happening to an animal they like the taste of and don’t actually have to see it themselves.
I didn’t choose to ignore anything. I just have a life outside of being an annoying vegan.
You already knew what I was going to say, though. I’m personally against wool products because they breed sheep specifically to grow unhealthy amounts of wool and once the few good coats they have in them are gone they send them off to be killed for food anyway.
Sheep can also be mistreated during the shearing process, and since shearers are often paid per sheep they’re incentivised to rush through them.
I’m not going to use the word rape here since I don’t think it applies.
Have I activated any trap cards?
Actually I think I get what you’re saying now and I think you have a point. I am not sure the two can be directly compared that way, though. There are different reasons for why people think each is bad once they hear the name and I don’t think the meme is actually saying that this is an argument for or against anything. Just a funny observation.
