I’m sure you’re right and it wouldn’t be an issue, but I’m anal about reducing redundancy and complication wherever I can. If I can have one place to charge everything and don’t have to check what belongs to what, I’ll do it.

I don’t have many tools (or any children) but if I’m buying a bunch of battery operated stuff, you can be sure it’s all going to be able to use the same batteries and chargers.

There are high-schoolers alive today (maybe even in this thread) who were born after Apple stopped charging for updates. Maybe it’s time to get some new jokes.

Privacy is complicated and often a luxury. Not everyone has the technical understanding to protect their privacy, nor the money to always choose the privacy-conscious option (which are almost always paid options). And to be honest, they shouldn’t really have to if governments did their jobs and brought in effective privacy protection laws.
