Do you live in a red state?
Do you live in a red state?
I was never really worried about reputation or virtual points. I just tried to contribute to conversations and be respectful. But Reddit has gone down hill. Soon it’ll be dead like MySpace.
Well there was a video on r/news where a group of cops beat sonebody pretty bad, body cam footage I think.
I commented “I hope those cops get what they deserve” you know like criminal charges of some sort. Oh no, reddit was perfectly fine with cops being bad cops.
That was my secondary account oh well.
That’s where we need to get back to is 2010.
They’ll ban you because of your opinion. If you disagree with the wrong user or mod, you get banned from the subreddit or the whole site.
Fuck r/cordcutters and fuck r/news
I never understood this. If rent wasn’t so stupid high I would’ve had my own place long ago.
Maybe tip on how much gas you think it’d be to get there and back?
Chris Jericho, is that you?
I just don’t want people getting banned for stating their opinion.
Mentioning you’re gonna pirate cause you don’t like the news of the service you use prices going up r/cordcutters doesn’t like this.
But services need to see that kinda feedback to know they’re losing people. I’ve never had Netflix and never will. Their catalog just sucks. I have Peacock for WWE so Premiere League and movies is just a bonus.
I cashed in on the BF $20/yr deal so ad-free is $6mo. I have Shudder for horror of course.
So I have my fair share of services but I vote with my wallet and use a VPN when needed. But there’s a lot of power abusing mods on Reddit. Reddit needs to be shut down and re-do all the mods across the site. If buying a digital movie isn’t owning then piracy isn’t stealing.
Umm from my understanding they handed over their users data some years ago. I think the authorities might’ve asked, you may have to google that.
I’ve been using Mullvad, it’s like $5/mo and their servers are fast. They have servers all over the world. Mullvad did away with port forwarding. This article favors Nordvpn but it depends what your needs are
https://www.safetydetectives.com/blog/nordvpn-vs-mullvad-vpn-comparison/
Edit 1, they do comply with law enforcement https://www.pcmag.com/news/nordvpn-actually-we-do-comply-with-law-enforcement-data-requests
Should probably switch to qbtorrent. What VPN are you using?
Use my gloves?
Yea I’m looking forward to being on Lemmy. MySpace went down due to Facebook growing. I think we accomplish the same thing and the fediverse thing too.
I’m slowly migrating to Lemmy/Kbin.
The mods of Reddit are just power abusing shitheads. The same communities will eventually come to the fediverse.
Did you do the data export from your reddit account? So you’d have all your comments and saved stuff on your PC?
I wouldn’t even worry about moderate them. Just do what you can do.
What was it like working in the cable TV industry? Did it pay good and have good benefits?
