The singular ‘dumbass’ to the plural ‘sovereign citizens’
The singular ‘dumbass’ to the plural ‘sovereign citizens’
There’s a belief that (I’m going to heavily paraphrase/over simplify here) when you’re born, there are two versions of you … The ‘corporation’, and the ‘real’ you.
Any document issued by the government i.e. birth certificates, social security etc is against the corporate version of you. And as a ‘real’ person, you are not part of a system you didn’t consent to.
So when you get pulled over for speeding, it was your real self who was driving travelling, not the corporation, and only the corporate self is beholden to the law. This same idea is applied to taxes…
Well, they can …
Doctor’s in the UK offer screening for Down’s syndrome, Edwards’ syndrome and Patau’s syndrome at 10-14 weeks.
Please can you explain this in genetic terms?
As I understood it, sex is determined by the presence, or absence, of a Y chromosome, at the 23rd pair.
While exceptions exist, they’re incredibly rare genetic observations and I have never heard or read it referred to as a “spectrum”.
In a modern internet context:
Fear. Uncertainty. Doubt.
Often used in crypto circles when a shitty project is being accused of being a rug pull. The scammer may say “it’s just FUD, ignore it”.
On ‘the street’, if I called someone a fud, it is calling them an idiot.
Lol, find me a tattoo artist that takes credit card and they can have my skin, twice.
How could I forget Mono.
The album (ep?) For your parents is amazing.
I will give Ryuichi Sakamoto a listen now.
There’s a mashup I didn’t know I wanted.
The following can be classed as instrumental, post-rock or post-metal:
Probs low hanging fruit for this thread, but vinyl collecting.
Started around 2011 by going to charity shops and second hand stores to find bargains. I used to be able to spend £10 a week and get 3/4 new (to me) records. Some were great ,some were trash, but that was the fun!
Then I started getting specific records, building towards band discographies… next thing I know, I’m dropping £25 per record for two bootleg records that were definitely not worth the price. Was a watershed moment and one that made me take a step back.
Ticked over for a year or two, next thing I know vinyl records are now in Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s. Every new release comes on vinyl, and they’re now £25+. Charity shops are now just full of junk vinyl, and all the second hand stores now charge £25+ because their pressings are “original”… all the fun is now gone.
Feel you with Attack on Titan - goes into some weird places and I lost interest.
Have you tried Initial D? Old school 90’s early 2000’s teen comedy drama about street racing. It’s really funny and touching at the right moments.
With this in mind, I’ve read anecdotes that say you should have a monitor that ideally has double the refresh rate as the FPS of the game you’re playing. The thought being, I suppose, that as the monitor is refreshing more frequently, it will more likely catch a frame.
I can’t find where I read/watched this, but if anyone has any input or tests to this 3ffect I’d be interested to see it again.
The hill I’m prepared to die on on is that I think an elephant is the only mammal that could pull off wearing two pairs of cargo shorts at once.
An elephant is the only mammal with 4 forward facing knees.
Worked in bars as a supervisor for 3 years, almost everytime I decided to cut a patron off (usually for being too drunk, or for being an arsehole) I would be met with “you can’t do that, it’s illegal, you HAVE to serve me”
No, I don’t. Service is at my discretion, and it wouldn often be unethical for me to continue to provide you with more alcohol, endangering yours and others around you further.
I loved sharing this with my senior who hadn’t seen it before, and it gave our small team a Ggod chuckle one afternoon. Thanks for your creation.
With the absence of a crystal ball, but with excellent inner knowledge, what future standards could you see being implemented in the next 10 years for internet?
Did you read the name of the sub before you replied?
