  • I’ve been getting the Samsung ‘plus’ models several years after they come out for a couple hundred bucks and still can’t find a reason to upgrade from the S10+

New phones are way too expensive for a better camera and marginally faster apps, which would be entirely out matched by a dedicated camera at the same price.

Surprise surprise, I also drive an old ranger that has aux but no Bluetooth so everything works out

  • Samurai champloo is a classic and contributed a ton to anime style, but maybe doesn’t hit as hard with plot as more recent creations. Fun and campy meets dark and gritty

Inuyasha is another classic feudal Japan and magic environment

May as well mention Afro Samurai if I’m gonna have a string of feudal Japan anime

Most people look like they mentioned Cowboy bebop already

I’m a huge Neon Genesis Evangelion fan, but originally watched it in the early 2000’s as a teenager with divorced parents so there’s probably a big nostalgia factor

I absolutely loved cyberpunk edgerunners, but it’s only 10 episodes (watched this probably 5x already)

The animated witcher movie + Castlevania (not nocturne though) were really good.

Arcane + DOTA I found to be really enjoyable as well.

  • You’re previous, brief, comment literally mentioned media fear mongering - apparently it was imaginary media fear mongering tied to an imaginary scenario involving millions of interactions between men and woment and only two rapes (not sure how media fear mongering ties into an imagined hypothetical.)

You are all over the road bud.

I’m saying that it’s not media that’s brainwashed women into believing some Rape bogeyman exists - Imaginary scenario or not.

It’s that every single woman personally knows someone(s) who has been raped/roofied/sex assaulted/groped etc. and they don’t need media hype to come to the conclusion that being raped in any environment is always a possibility. This is a very sad fact that women live with every single day.

Not sure how you perceived that as an accusation that you don’t believe in Rape

  • Most of the “fearmongering” is actually women talking about their experiences.

When media fearmongers Rape, it’s mostly by informing the public about rapists being sentenced to very light sentences, or rapists facing no jail time, or violent rapists being released.

Either that or they outright victim blame and discuss what someone was wearing, where they were, who they were with etc, basically inferring that if she was safely at home under a man’s protection, it wouldn’t be possible for her to be raped - so look at all the safety she threw away to be reckless (outside without a male partner) and have fun (literally existing while being a woman walking sex organ waiting to be claimed).

  • The Martian when the main airlock blows up.

He ends up taping a plastic sheet over the hole with what I assume is super strong space tape and plastic and then continues to live in the station for 550 more days.

We spend the first half of the movie learning how unforgiving the environment is, and how delicate his ecosystem for life is, but you can also blow half the place up and just tape some plastic over the hole.

They did a much better job of explaining it in the book, but the movie literally went “just tape that bitch up with plastic, then we’ll throw a wind storm at it to prove it’s good forever”

Watching movies at home is infinitely superior. You can talk, pause, rewatch a scene, go to the bathroom, have your own snacks, better seats, home TV’s are pretty great these days, and sound bars/headphones are also close enough(better?) than theaters.

I’d prefer not to torrent as I already have streaming services, but if companies are going to put out content that is generally mediocre, with lowest common denominator formulas and then make it hard to watch? then yeah, I’ll Torrent.

I don’t mind owning physical copies of media I really like, but that is also becoming less and less common.

That being said, Dial of Destiny was actually pretty enjoyable! Better than the average movie I’d say, and I watched it on a plane, so not exactly the best viewing environment

  • Regardless of your personal actions or beliefs, you are being lumped in with extremists. If that confuses you because you personally feel innocent, there is an expression that goes something like

“If there are 9 people at a table and a Nazi sits and eats with them, there are 10 Nazis as the table.”

Tolerating or being indifferent to abhorrent behaviour is the same as rewarding/endorsing abhorrent behaviour.

As for the definition of evangelicals, there’s the literal definition

“Evangelicalism (/ˌiːvænˈdʒɛlɪkəlɪzəm, ˌɛvæn-, -ən-/), also called evangelical Christianity or evangelical Protestantism, is a worldwide interdenominational movement within Protestant Christianity that emphasizes the centrality of sharing the “good news” of Christianity, being “born again” in which an individual experiences personal conversion, as authoritatively guided by the Bible, God’s revelation to humanity.[1][2][3][4][5] The word evangelical comes from the Greek word for “good news” (euangelion).[6]”

And then there is the applied practice of evangelicals who spend considerable wealth influencing politics to turn America (and the world) into a theocratic state with the goal of converting everyone and doing away with anyone who resists their goals.

They are uncompromising because they believe they act on God’s will giving them unquestionable holy authority to act as they see fit as long as it pushes their narrative and goals.

It’s not my job to educate you on your own religion, if you’re lost as to why anyone would despise evangelicals even though “they’re not all like that” that is up to you to reconcile.

There might be a subtle difference between a front lines Nazi and Hitler on the ‘innocence scale’ if you want to split hairs, but to everyone outside that group, a Nazi is a Nazi (who were all essentially evangelicals as well, surprise surprises)

if you don’t believe me, here’s something to read since you like proof/evidence so much, but I doubt you’ll ever challenge your own beliefs.

  • That’s because it is the closest thing to fascism. Especially when religion bleeds into politics.

Don’t be shocked that your faith of complete, uncompromising, control of human behaviour based on a collective, personal conclusion that you have all the answers to everything is perceived for what it is.

Believe whatever you want in your own head, and live your life according to whatever belief system you want. The second you try to extend the control you place on yourself to anyone else is the line between faith and fascism

If you don’t believe in abortions? Fine.

If you believe others should follow your example? Fine.

If you force others to follow your idealogies through control of legal/political systems? not fine

Y’all never seem to understand, nobody cares what you do as long as you keep self imposed control to yourself. But apparently the whole point is to “spread the love” through non-optional participation, which is what makes you so dangerous.

If your faith really was all that goodness you claim, people would actually want to join! But they don’t. So you force them. Jesus would be so proud ❤️

  • Big fan of 50:50 water and grocery store white vinegar with a tiny drop of dish soap.

For glass I’ll also add a little rubbing alcohol to the above, for heavier grease or spots on glass I’ll just use 70% rubbing alcohol

Bathrooms can have a ton of different surfaces, I’ve had great success with VIM bathroom and kitchen but I’m sure anything branded for kitchen/bathroom will handle sink/shower/tub/toilet well.

CLR for anything involving (Calcium, Lime, Rust) tougher sediment buildup.

I get sponges that basically look and feel like the rough part of Velcro and are thin for a sponge, like the green scrubby rectangles, but superior imo.

When they’re getting tired they become my household cleaning sponge and work great! A decent sized brush can be handy, and definitely rags/paper towels for wiping things dry if necessary.

Squeegees are fun, not particularly handy for bathroom cleaning unless there’s a lot of tile/tempered glass/mirrors or you like using it to wipe down the shower when you’re finished

If you haven’t tried the Enzyme supplement Fodzyme I can’t recommend it enough.

Ever since I started using it I can (mostly) freely eat foods with garlic and onions as well as a host of other things.

It doesn’t work on everything, but I have been ordering it since April and I am no longer reading every label on everything to avoid being sick.

Everyone is different so there’s no guarantees on what will work for you, but I’ve been telling everyone about it (mostly because people always ask what I’m sprinkling on nearly everything I eat).

I get the brown jar because the individual pouches are a rip off, but it’s less of an investment if you want to try!
