AbeBooks. Usually better prices than Amazon, too.

Ink jets burn ink even if you dont print anything, with their periodic “cleaning cycles”. That or their nozzles jam if you dont print often enough. They can make really high quality prints, but I’d never buy one again. Lasers can sit for months and they still pop out perfect prints every time.
Or if most of the population just decides to ignore the constitution. But how likely is that?
A low-powered zoom microscope. I can again look at and work on tiny things, fix jewelry, electronics, remove splinters. Use it WAY more rhan I ever thought I would.
Gift certificate. That’s something that can NEVER be mistaken for romance.
I live in a major west coast city and “next” or “second day” shipping often takes 3 or 4 and Amazon just effectively says “oh well”. It:s become kind pf a scam.
Sinclair ZX80, built from a kit.
Or get several models previous, bought used. I had a Pixel 3 I bought for very little on ebay… Now I have a Pixel 7, from a deal with my wireless company (which will of course cost me over time). And at least for my use, I can’t say the 7 is any more useful or nice to work with than the 3.

In Portland, we have a huge video store called Movie Madness. $3 rent for almost any movie in existence. With an actual museum of Hollywood costumes, models and props around you. And you can sip a draft beer while you browse. It’s always humorous when cable news portrays Portland as being some uncivilized hellhole.
It’s not as complicated as portrayed. Everyone has some kind of point. But the people controlling the attacks are pretty much assholes, and the citizens getting killed are innocent victims
If they’re made instead of making fossil fuel vehicles, they do (addressing the cartoon, not the barely related added title) . Cars will still be made as many become no longer repairable. Which kind to build? Yes, better to make more electric buses and trains, but cars wont simply vanish in any scenario.
Former heavy smoker here, quit two decades ago. It creates a strong craving, which briefly supplies pleasure when you appease it. It provides (or at least used to) social connection with other smokers, particularly at “smoking breaks”.
And it gives you something recognizable to do while waiting for something. Rather than sitting there, staring out with a stupid look on your face, you instead sit there smoking a cigarette.
It’s an incredibly difficult addiction to break, it’s expensive, and these days identifies you as either very old or more or less a loser. Avoid, avoid.
In particular, salt water (ocean or even pickle brine) will need to be cleaned out. It leaves condictive salt film behind.
