Back in the 90s the focus was to be colorblind, ie to treat everyone the same. Now people are focusing on race again in a big way. It boggles my mind that people now think treating people differently based on race is somehow a good thing. That people should get preferential hiring based on race is probably the biggest WTF.

Things to try:

• Update your BIOS, this will likely solve the issue since things are working fine with your prior CPU.
• If you are running an XMP/EXPO profile, turn it off, as it might be making your system unstable.
• Memtest. Run it for at least a full cycle (which takes about an hour). If you see more than a single error, then there is something wrong with your RAM.

Since I had to do some troubleshooting to get it working, I’ll list what I had to do here:

I have Mint 22.1 and Heroic Launcher installed as a flatpak. Because of this, I could not install Mangohud from apt as Heroic could not find it in $PATH. Instead I had to install the Mangohud flatpak flatpak install Mangohud. I had to specifically choose the v23.08 branch when running that command, as the v24.08 branch did not work with heroic. After that, I went to the game configuration in Heroic and enabled Mangohud and all was good. :)

What errors do you get on boot? Also, are Windows and Linux on the same drive, or separate?

Has anyone found a good tool to list FPS in games? I know the steam overlay does it, but not all games are steam games.

Quick example: started playing Cyberpunk again, even added it as a non-steam game in steam, but the overlay isn’t there. I would really just like a tool that adds such an overlay for any game. What is out there?

You cannot fit that piece of data on a hard drive uncompressed, yet I just communicated it to you in a compressed format and you can view the data accurately at any position.
