It bothers me that fifty is written out as a word but eighty isn’t. It’s just one letter more. Either do 50, 80, or fifty, eighty.
I thought the rule of thumb was to spell out anything after 10.I had it backwards.
You have it backwards, you spell out one to ten, and then 11 and up are numeric.

I was taught to spell out until twelve, after that the *teen ones start, which are a lot more letters and space on the paper.
Of course it all depends on whatever the relevant style guide says. Consistency is the most important bit.
