speed up, slow down, make us more monies, never stop, until you can’t anymore, then we’ll find a younger model, cheaper
The movie that is constantly being re-watched, and I guess has become my happy place in the last 10 years, is The Martian
Fan service used to be a wink and a nod, which was fun, now it’s an entire industry, which is so not fun.
The snake doesn’t eat it’s own tail, it cuts it off, sells, it and grows the same fucking tail again, then sells it again, ad infinitum.
Movies that have no utility except to make money from fan bases who can’t say no, and Television so bloated with callback and fluff, stuffed into season shortened to 6 -8 episodes, the object of the story is lost.
the plastic IS strong enough, lol
Everytime I think how hot this chick it, I remember the pictures from the MAGAt BBQ her family threw during the heart of the pandemic, and she becomes really unattractive again
“mars will come to fear my botany power”
this is such a great movie, it was like a found jewel when i watched it to the first time it came to hbo, it gets a yearly rewatch. tilda swinton’s gabriel literally one of the coolest movie character portrayals i’d ever seen in my life. keanu, weiss, leboeff, rosdale, honsou, stormare jfc this move was packed. like i said, this is on my repeat list. such a great flick.
Jackson’s Lord Of The Rings was great for what they were, 3 movies but done well with thought, The Hobbit movies were purposefully elongated drawn out enshitified trash, Rings of Power is enshitified trash. Star Wars prequels and sequels were enshitified trash. All Hollywood is doing at this point is holding fans upside down to see how much money falls out of us, then they do it again. Blech.
the staff wanted equity vis a vis the spinoff, and ownership decided they didn’t want to give it to them

unpopular opinion: the “i am no man” line from from the movie was cringe and eye roll inducing, and the multiple lines from the book weren’t much better. it’s the silliest play on words in the world. still feels like slapstick.
