Yeah, I deal with that one quite often, too. Usually just for Redis commands, but god forbid I need anything besides that.

Every time I am forced to open the IBM documentation, I not only not find what I was looking for, I am extremely frustrated because I literally couldn’t tell that the information is not there. The site is slow, the search is fucked, and I hate how corporate it is.

Same goes to Microsoft documentation.

I’ve got countless gripes, I don’t think there is a feature that I like or that they made 100% working and easy to use.

Lucky, one company I work for had Teams, the other one - small-ish 20 people - self hosts Rocket Chat.

No personally using KeePass, but I’ve heard Syncthing is great to sync the database. Might wanna try to look into that.

It really does not matter if they have comprehensive description of anything. It is always about defensibility. Sure, maybe you are technically not breaking the law, but maybe you also don’t have the money to fight the other legal team, so you are basically fucked.

If someone comes to the creator of said software, saying they’ll get sued - I’d rather implement something that barely works than fight for year(s) in court.

Not defending anything being merged, mind you. Glad we ended up with non mandatory field (that barely counts for the legislation) than full blown age verification. The moment it will be mandatory AND verified, I am gone.
