I mean, I suppose so. I can imagine a theoretical AI that isn’t trained on stolen work, isn’t insanely energy intensive, isn’t controlled by the ownership class, and doesn’t hallucinate wildly. But that’s so far away from what AI is in our current context, drawing that distinction feels like losing the forest for the trees, at this point in time.

Quite a lot of people, especially here on the Fediverse. You’d be wise to care too - AI is no friend to the working class.
Thank you!
Hey, please don’t use ableist slurs. It’s easy to criticize conservatives without doing so.
Yeah, I didn’t particularly like that doctor. After I had a bad bout of depression, she started treating me like I was an addict drug-seeking, even though I used my meds at work and never used cannabis at work because, you know, rules and stuff.
I have a hard time believing that she was that critical of prescribing to people who use alcohol on a regular basis.
Having them was really nice. I had such an easier time staying on top of my health and fitness, the tidiness of my home, getting my work done, and working on hobbies. I didn’t love feeling drained at the end of the day when I crashed, but on balance, it was an improvement to my life.
Then there was a shortage, so I couldn’t get it, and my doctor said that she wouldn’t prescribe it for me any more anyway, until I stopped using cannabis (even though it’s legal here). And now my new doctor can’t get any of my diagnosis paperwork and doesn’t want to prescribe it until I get tested again.
It’s like the process for getting ADHD meds is uniquely designed to be difficult to navigate for people with ADHD.
Cool! Still not gonna put all my eggs in the fascist-sympathetic basket
Not quite months, but definitely weeks 😂 Obsidian can be such a rabbit hole. If I tweak that last template one more time, then I’ll finally be done, I swear!

Nope, you are correct! From the Wikipedia page, which cites the standards document:
- Representations can be done in one of two formats – a basic format with a minimal number of separators or an extended formatwith separators added to enhance human readability. The standard notes that “The basic format should be avoided in plain text.” The separator used between date values (year, month, week, and day) is the hyphen, while the colon is used as the separator between time values (hours, minutes, and seconds). For example, the 6th day of the 1st month of the year 2009 may be written as “2009-01-06” in the extended format or as “20090106” in the basic format without ambiguity.
Haha yep, you caught me. I’m a fan of the unique note feature

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Could sharing my Jellyfin server with windows and mac get me busted?English
8·10 months agoIs it possible? Yes.
Is it particularly likely that hosting a Jellyfin server would attract unwanted attention? I’d say probably not, unless you’re doing something else that might draw scrutiny.
And it is easily extensible to YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss to include the time of day

Just for the sake of clarity, there is a difference between jumping above 2C during a year and the long-term average being above 2C, which is what we’re usually talking about when it comes to global warming. This headline, and the 1.5C headlines from 2023, tend to muddy the waters. Shit is bad and getting worse, but it’s not quite as bad as you might think at first glance.
