Did you get that from Koi Me The Horizon or just happened to source the image from wherever they sourced the koi footage? Or am I horribly misguided

Syncthing between my phone, my server, my laptop, and a cloud backup. Home server is always on so it “remembers” the sync to propagate to devices that were not turned on or connected to the internet when the change was made, cloud backup in case of catastrophe

Fun fact! While brown eyes are brown due to pigmentation, blue/green/grey eyes are the colour they are for the same reason the sky is blue: the way the light bends when it passes through a barrier. In both the case of light passing through the atmosphere and light passing through your cornea, blue/green light has just the right wavelength that when the light scatters as it reflects back out, some colours are more visible than others. Depending on the small amount of pigmentation you do have and the lighting conditions you are in, the eye may appear blue, grey-blue or green. All the way grey eyes are more rare and require slightly abnormal corneas. In this particular picture I would say it looks like blue to me.

1·3 months agoI was paying for netflix, spotify, cloud storage, shared calendar software, the works. I’ve since moved my media watching to jellyfin, music to navidrome, storage to my server w/ offsite backups of critical files, baikal + open source calendar solutions. Anything I can replace with something I run myself, I do. And I’m always adding more. If you don’t count the fact that I keep expanding the scope of my setup and buying hardware, I save lots per month in subs of various kinds

4·3 months agoI used to be on the MX verticals too, but I have found a new love in the Protoarc EM11 NL vertical mouse. It is a higher quality product than it has any right to be for the price, and anyone here who likes vert mice I urge to try it. Still on my first but I bought another one for the office and another for a friend.

Yes. I had a guy who got upset because they switched to the digital board for the eyesight exam for his amateur piloting recert so he can’t just memorize the letters anymore
