I took it from another perspective. To me this meme was saying just remember Tesla is owned by Musk who just did a Nazi salute before starting his first political position under Trump administration like a month ago…

7·7 days agoI guess one could have racist and/ or transphobic opinions without knowing the harm it carries. If a person is black, and they happen to behave in a way you don’t like (e.g. smoking weed in a park); you don’t go saying “oh this black people do this, not all but some and I hope they didn’t do that”. There’s a generalization you need to avoid, and also their behavior is regardless of the color of their skin. I have removed such comments, only than instead of racism about skin color this was about gender. And I am being too ‘liberal’ here. Giving you the benefit of doubt. But it’s clear to me that if you think they’re behaving in that way you dislike because of their gender, then that’s just plain transphobia. Next comment that goes in that line, may get a 10-day ban. Discuss Rust, Linux, even Apple Silicon… not the personal decisions and life of a given developer.

3·17 days agoPrecisely. I was remembering someone else’s complain on a co-worker thay had. It was bad for this reason(s), and to make the situation even more infuriating they were able to sell themselves quite well. So they changed jobs, always ‘capitalizing’ on their frauds…

Yeah, this was around the time they first released it. Back then I had issues with downloading and installing Debian, regardless of drivers. I was inexperienced, and was using Mint (ubuntu-based) already, so the UI (gtk2, mate) was a huge plus for my restricted specs (a netbook)
LMDE, Linux Mint Debian Edition was my goto for a long time.

You can have a remarkably similar experience on any distro, just enable flathub and install verified packages from there.

Perhaps, to expand a little bit. We can measure energy on different units, and I don’t know how to draw the comparison, but can imagine something (e.g. 1 gram of coal produces N Joules). Then it’s easy to see how the same amount of Uranium could produce M Joules.
But waste… Is it CO2 ? Or H3O ?
Huh? I actually felt the whole post was wrong. They measure “waste” without units. That’s wild, like saying that feathers are million times more heavy than iron. It can be true, sure.
But whose bug is it? Really, Git origins have it tied to Linux development.
Case sensitivity, or the lack thereof, on a filesystem is opinionated. That’s the real issue and is not a bug.
