An artifact from the past. Even if it’s a rebranding, it’s pretty obvious to me that leftism needs to move on. Right wing ideology has evolved while left wing ideology, online at least, stays arguing over the same tired shit from 100 years ago.
Cringe is just embarrassment leaving the body.
But if you did all those thing, people would say that you’re putting forth a good effort, soo…

32·23 days agoIt’s not a hard pill to swallow. You’re ignoring that not everyone learns by reading a book. Some people learn be performing actions, some learn by observing instructors. Just because the way that works for you is free doesn’t mean that everyone has access to that.
Tbh, is because I was probably thinking of something else and needed a second to remember what you just said.
Usually goes something like, “Huh? Oh, blah blah”

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Moderately ethical printer recommendation?
19·26 days agoI have a brother laser printer for black and white stuff and an Epson EcoTank for high quality color printing. I replace the toner on my brother printer maybe once every 2 to 3 years under heavy use. The EcoTank doesn’t use printer cartridges, just straight up bottles of ink that you use to fill reservoirs. It lasts quite a while, but I use this printer considerably less than the brother.
Brother is by and far the best choice for laser printers imo.

243·26 days agoWelcome to fascism, where the rules are made up and the crimes don’t matter (unless your enemies do them, then they really really matter).
Ah so everything was chill in the USSR then? Stalin didn’t have any secret police or totalitarian access to power?
When you ignore established agricultural science because it’s too capitalist, and your crops fail, starving a significant portion of your country, yeah that’s kinda the governments fault.
Dunning Kruger.
Your body is so much more complicated than a function that takes calories as input and outputs an expected result. You need more than just calories, you need nutrients. A nutrient deficient person does not burn calories the same way a person with a balanced diet does.
Like just think for a second. Is the only variable of food that matters is calories, then why do you need vitamins? Why do we split calories into categories like protein, carbs, veggies, fruits, etc? Why can you get a PhD in nutrition if it’s only as simple as calories in calories out?
The simple answer is it’s not simple. Asserting that it is when it isn’t creates some terrible narratives around exercise, diet, and body image.
The first and second images are fantasy.
How come everyone wants to imagine the future is great and the past was great (it wasn’t, it’s literally just now but worse), but nobody wants to imagine what they could do to make now better?

Also a big fan of Station Wagons, but that’s not that rare among enthusiasts.
