Imagine the chaos in Europe if the ocean currents fail to bring warm temps up from the tropics and the UK, Germany, etc all start to get weather similar to mid-northern Canada which even Canadians try their best to avoid.

They have vibe journalists now

Why don’t you just call NFL foot ball, soccer? No one else wants to use the name soccer so it’s sort of free.

How often are the terms of service evident at the time of purchase? It’s unreasonable to assume at the checkout that the price is only for a limited time of use. I doubt the put it on the box or on the Amazon page when you purchased stuff like this. Are you supposed to buy it and then return it after reading the fine print in the instruction booklet after opening it up?

I mean, even if chat GPT uses the referenced maximum of 40 Wh and OP did one query per day for 31 days, that would be the equivalent energy usage of leaving a 40W light bulb on for a little over a day, 31 hours, no?
I don’t see how that’s enough energy equivalent to burning down 4 trees as previous commenter stated.
It’s not good, but I don’t see it as unfathomably wasteful.

I wonder about the costs though.
If you can just have a plate on the ground instead of a interface and cord perhaps it might be useful in parking lots, where EVs can just park and charge while they shop without having the have the space requirements of the charging infrastructure.

I don’t even understand why you would have them anywhere inside. I have a few outside to warn of movement and stuff outdoors and trigger alarms at certain times but I would never put them inside my house. Already having them outside triggers by paranoia about being watched.

It’s just seen as lame
Our butt is connected to our head, just with a really long tube. Shorten the tube enough and your butt would also be in your head.

I wish I owned HP stocks so I could sell them immediately

Anytime AI has been involved my customer satisfaction has gone down tremendously

They will save millions for a few years, but AI will make their already terrible company absolutely useless, and then go bankrupt and lose everything.

Maybe because they think one day they will be rich, so obviously rich people are still people.
But they will never be poor, because poor people aren’t people.

He probably thinks he works 80 hour weeks because he is including schmoozing with clients and company paid lunches and dinners as “work”

I spent $1000 on my Samsung (S6? I can’t even remember anymore) and it’s battery shit the bed after like 12 months and the charging port no longer worked unless the cord was exactly in a specific angle and pressure on order to recharge it. It was a pain in the ass and cheaper to buy a new phone than to fix it.
Bought a OnePlus 5 after that which lasted 4 years, them a OnePlus 9 which lasted another 4 years, and currently on year 2 of my OnePlus 13 with no issues.
Samsung could have had another 2-3 phones from me if they had decent quality but nah they prefer to design to fail.

Jail and fines don’t solve people’s problems???

… As if Trump isn’t the flakiest of flakes?
There’s no guarantee they will even be around to recycle the rings in two years time. The way tech companies are going these days it’s probably not very likely.
