I’ve tried countless times to convince them to just use the browser locale, but most of them somehow keep insisting on using geolocation…
This kind of censorship makes browsing the web with a screenreader way harder than it needs to be.
Lately I’ve been working on adding ARIA functionality a lot of websites and thus used screenreaders to check if everything is in order. Adding asterisks in a word switches the TTS mode from reading to spelling in a lot of instances.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some places in Europe with a low price level and worth traveling to?
4·8 months agoIn most places this is included in the accommodation’s bill and isn’t a lot of money.
Some cities have quite huge fees of you want to drive an old car with a dirty engine into the center. Some will even fine you for it.
I suggest getting a ticket for public transportation. There are tickets available for a day, week or month, covering cities, countries or even the whole of Europe.

18·9 months agoIn Germany it’s legal for an employer to visit an employee. The employee is under no obligation to open the door, however.
As this article covers, it doesn’t really make sense to visit an employee, as the issue might not be visually apparent.
