  • Mines similar, at least 20 mins walk (or slow jog/cycle if I’m feeling energetic) per day every day, but usually end up doing 45mins+ which is about 2.5-3miles. Managed to keep that up for 2 years straight now, even when ill (just about).

I have M.E/CFS & it took a good 5+ years to build up to that, symptoms are thankfully fairly mild these days, I think partly because of the daily activity, however slow I feel I need to go.

Plus also now make sure I hit 10k plus steps daily this year which has helped keep me motivated to go further on days I might have kept it to only 20 mins.

As well as helping keep a baseline of fitness it’s done wonders for my general mood & mental health overall, seem to be far more stable across the board, & I feel being out even briefly is a big part of that.

  • I’ve increased the amount I donate since the campaign to discredit them has been in effect.

Maybe they aren’t perfect, but I don’t like the idea of a world without such a wonderful resource being freely available to everyone no matter their background or financial status.

I used it a lot as a student but couldn’t afford to donate then. I don’t use it directly a lot these days, but I’m sure indirectly it contributes to articles I read, & I can afford to donate now, so I try to pay it back & some.

Information is power, & those in/with power seem to currently be trying their best to bring everyone else down. Any small thing I can do to help prevent that is a win in my book.

  • Where I currently live we get a lot of wild garlic growing everywhere for a month or so a year, the smell is in the air nearly anywhere you walk for a few weeks. I do see some people picking it by the sack full, wonder if that’s similar to what you’re suggesting about the early farm crops. Although I presume the wild stuff is much milder than farm grown. I’ll try to source some from a farm next spring as soon as I see the local wild ones coming out. Cheers!

  • Thanks for encouraging to read the whole thing. That is a loooong article! But a great informative read. Took me a couple of sittings to read it all properly, well worth it!

I had no idea about so many of the challenges they’ve gone through & seemingly managed to fight back so many attempts to control & mask the content on more volatile subjects. Always had a lot of respect for the editors, but even more so now.

I do donate a small amount to them once or twice a year. I think I will try to increase my donations going forward knowing it might help with some of their legal fights.

Knowledge really is power, & we all deserve access to true knowledge, more now than ever it seems.
